1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account on the E-Barangay Geronimo platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as all applicable laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not register or use this platform.

2. Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. Providing false information, particularly for the purpose of fraudulently claiming residency status, is a violation of Philippine law and may result in:

• Immediate account suspension or termination
• Referral to appropriate law enforcement agencies
• Civil and/or criminal liability under the Revised Penal Code and RA 10175

3. Resident Verification

Accounts registered under the "Resident" status require verification and approval by a Barangay Administrator. During the verification period, access to resident-exclusive services will be restricted. The barangay reserves the right to request additional proof of residency at any time, and to deny or revoke resident status if verification fails.

4. Data Privacy

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). The barangay acts as the Personal Information Controller. Your data will be used solely for the purpose of providing barangay services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

5. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password. You agree to notify the barangay immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. The barangay will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials. You must not share your account with any other person.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. Prohibited activities include:

• Filing false, malicious, or frivolous complaints
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Using the platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Uploading content that is illegal, offensive, or violates intellectual property rights

7. Platform Availability

The barangay makes no warranty that the platform will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free. The platform may be taken down for maintenance, upgrades, or due to factors beyond our control. The barangay will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from platform downtime.

8. Modifications to Terms

Barangay Geronimo reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to the platform. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate Philippine courts or barangay justice mechanisms under RA 7160.
